RECALLS
1) Hino Motor recalled Hino 700 series, RN Bus and RK Bus:
Hino Motor Sales Australia has recently announced a recall notice for Hino 700 series, Hino RN Bus and Hino RK Bus due to malfunction of Speed Sensor. As per the company, the speed sensor is manufactured using materials that have different thermal expansion properties. In case of increased temperature, sensor will expand to different rates that may cause to create an open circuit. Due to an open circuit, the warning light of brake system and transmission will turn on itself that leads to the driver on uncertain speed and higher risk on the road.
Affected vehicle owners can contact their nearest Hino dealer for inspection or replacement of speed sensor free of charge.
2) Toyota Motor Corporation recalled Lexus LS500:
Due to automatic stop-start system programming defect, Toyota Motor has recalled Lexus LS500. In this model, the Stop-Start system automatically stops and restarts the engine when the vehicle stationary. Recently the company has identified improper programming of the engine control computer; the engine may stall during acceleration from the stationary position when the engine restarts within a specific time range after the engine stops. In this uncertainty, while driving, vehicle occupants might be at risk and increase the risk for other users as well.
3) IVECO Trucks Australia recalled EuroCargo Euro 6 MY2015 due Airbag inflator issue:
In the series of Takata Airbag recall, IVECO Trucks Australia has issued a recall notice for EuroCargo Euro 6 MY2015 vehicles due to Takata faulty airbag issue. The primary defect centres around airbag inflator propellant that can degrade over time when exposed to a combination of high temperatures and humidity. If a defective airbag inflator ruptures, metal fragments may propel out through the airbag cushion towards the vehicle occupants causing severe injury or fatality.
Affected vehicle owners can contact IVECO Customer centre for inspection and replacement of faulty Airbag.
4) Honda Australia will update Manual of Honda Civic Type R 2017 and 2018 YM:
Honda Australia Pty Ltd has announced to update the Owner’s Manual from existing supplied Owner’s Manual of Honda Civic Type R 2017 and 2018 YM. As per mandatory standards, in particular, vehicles provided owner’s manual may not contain all relevant information and in some vehicles Owner’s Manual may not have been submitted. The lack of knowledge or incorrect information from Owner’s Manual can affect the driving experience as well as increase the chances of misuse of vehicles.
5) Mercedes-Benz Australia has recalled E Class Sedan, Coupe and Cabriolet MY2010-2012:
Due to Airbag inflator issue Mercedes Benz has decided and issued a recall notice for their E class sedan, Coupe and Cabriolet MY2010-2012. Due to this, a vast number of vehicles are affected. For E Class 4103, for Coupe 847 Vehicles and E Class Sedan, 199 Vehicles are concerned and has been recalled by the company.
