1) Audi Q3 (8U) recalled due to Passenger Airbag Defect

As per Audi Australia Pty Ltd, the 2016 Audi Q3 passenger airbags are needed to replace due to 25 faulty gadgets. To keep security concern in mind, the 2016 Audi Q3 (8U) has been recalled by the company. In affected vehicles, airbags may not be filled with the required volume of gas due to defective weld joint on the gas generator for the airbags. Due to this defect, in case of an accident, passenger protection could be compromised.

2) Hyundai Sonata & Grandeur recalled due to ABS Circuit Board Defect

In their recent announcement, Hyundai Motor Company Australia Pty Ltd has recalled around 11000 cars built between 2004 and 2013 across Sonata and Grandeur model lines due to faulty ABS circuit board. As per Hyundai Australia, it is a manufacturing defect in the ABS circuit board with a risk of short-circuiting when in contact with water.

3) Ford Motors recalled Ford Courier, Econovan and Ranger

Ford Motors Australia has started to recall the 2004-06 Courier, 2004-05 Econovan and 2006-11 Ranger as a part of the continued faulty Takata airbag recall campaign. The main reason for this movement is fitment of ‘Beta’ inflators. In the affected vehicles, if airbag inflator rupture in case of any event then metal fragment might be shootout, straight through the airbag cushion material towards the vehicle occupants causing serious injury or fatality.

4) FCA 2017 Jeep Wrangler recalled due to malfunction of Brake Switches

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has recalled around 40000 2017 Jeep Wrangler due to malfunction of vehicles brake switches. About this defect, company saying that malfunction indicator lamp will illuminate on cars with faulty brake switches or be allowing the vehicles to shift out of Park when the brake pedal is not pressed. Both situations may increase the chances of  an accident.

5) Citroen C4 Picasso recalled due to Cooling Strategy and Maximum Temperature Alert Fault

The ACCC has issued his latest round of safety recalls, with top of the models including C4 Picasso. Citroen Australia has recently recalled the 7 seater C4 Picasso due to the fault in vehicle’s cooling strategy and maximum temperature alert might cause engine overheating. Engine overheat problem while driving it might seize the engine and vehicle will stop suddenly, posing an accident risk.

6) Toyota Corolla Sedan, Hatch & Rukus recalled due to Takata Airbag Inflator Fault

Toyota Motor corporation Australia Limited has recalled around 48000 Corolla sedan, Hatchback and Rukus models due to Takata Airbag inflator fault. Toyota issued this recall for built model between 2007 and 2012 due to over concerns replacement airbags fitted as part of the Takata campaign may have been installed incorrectly.

Due to this incorrect installation of Takata Airbag inflator, the passenger front air bag may not properly inflate as designed during deployment, increasing the risk of injury.
